History-
Splash Mountain first opened as a ride on July 18, 1989. Some of the songs include Everybody's Gotta
Lauging place, and Zip-a-dee-doo-dah. The ride is based on a Disney movie Song of the South, which is esentially stories about Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear.
The Story-
Apparently, Brer Rabbit disobeys Mr. Bluebird (the one on your shoulder) and decides to head out looking
for "adventure". Brer Fox and Brer Bear, are now after Brer Rabbit. I bet they are hungy. During the early
part of the ride, the music is Everybody's gotta Lauging Place. Eventually the ride get serious, and you might think
that Fox and Bear are going to win, and then, Rabbit out-smarts those bad guys, and we plunge strat down into the Briar Patch.
To finish it off, you can see the ol America Sings, and list to Zip-a-dee-doo-dah.
Facts-
Last drop is 52.5 ft. long. The logs fit 5 people, and there is no more lap sitting. Splash
Mountain is a Log Flume type ride, and is around (meaning not exact) 10 minutes long. With a few over one-hundred singing
animatronics, many from America Sings, this makes for a fun ride!
